Once Human: How to Get All-Purpose Plastic?

Once Human Team Editor

Once Human is set in a post-apocalyptic modern world where you, a meta-human, must find a way to survive and thrive by crafting your own goods. While the general formula of the game is pretty much the same as any other survival sandbox, there is a touch of modern life in it. So, you can’t just survive with your basic stone and iron tools. As a result, players are always searching for advanced crafting materials like silver ores, acid, and of course, all-purpose plastic in Once Human.

Fortunately, plastic is a common material in the game world and you can find it around every corner. The only problem is that it is impossible to extract raw plastic from the world, so you must process the scraps to acquire it. Therefore, in this article, we will cover how to get all-purpose plastic in Once Human, let’s get started:

Blogs How to Get All-Purpose Plastic in Once Human?

How to Get

You will start searching for basic crafting materials like all-purpose plastic almost immediately after starting the game. This common yet important resource is required in many crafting recipes, so you better find a way to gather a lot of it quickly. However, we suggest that you should focus on completing the main story tasks until V explains how to use the disassembly bench. Also, you should pick up any scrap and junk lying around while you are completing those tasks.

To make it simple, the only way to get all-purpose plastic in Once Human is to find scrap items and disassemble them in your base camp. Sounds simple, right? The catch is that you can only get it by disassembling special loot items. Here are all the items that yield all-purpose plastic in Once Human:

  • Bucket
  • Chemical Agent
  • Employee Badge
  • Fuel Tank
  • Golf Club Head
  • Milk Frothier
  • Parcel Box
  • Piston
  • Super Glue
  • Swimming Ring

Blogs Where to Find All-Purpose Plastic Items?

Okay, now we know what gives all-purpose plastic in Once Human and clearly, they are not everyday items that you can find anywhere in the world. Adding to the troubles, recipes requiring this material start popping up around level 10 and last until the endgame sequence. Therefore, it is important to process and store as many all-purpose plastics and Fireproof plastics as possible to avoid any problems in the future. Here are the best areas to farm scraps that yield both these plastics in Once Human:

Blogs Secret Harbor: (7198, -3249)

Secret Harbor

You will unlock the Iron River region at around character level 12 (unless you grind too much). This resource-rich area is infamous for its huge supply of Iron Ores and other common resources. However, if you are just looking for all-purpose plastic, we suggest that you head straight to the Secret Harbor (check the coordinates). While you won’t collect more than 50x plastics per visit, it is still enough to keep you going for a while. Simply head to the harbor, clear the foes, and start collecting everything that you can find, especially from the loot chests.

Blogs Mirage Monolith Danger Zone: (6602, -2921)

Mirage Monolith

If you aren’t satisfied with the loot from the previous location, we suggest that you head northeast to the Mirage Monolith Danger Zone. As the name suggests, this area is crawling with Rosetta Soldiers so you better bring your best weapons. However, these weaklings won’t be a problem if you are at character level 15+. Oh, and you will find a lot more all-purpose plastic yielding materials here than any other early-game location.

Blogs Red Sands: (3910, -2488)

Red Sands

As mentioned earlier, all-purpose plastic won’t be leaving your grocery list until the endgame sequence, and the two early-game areas won’t suffice anymore. Fortunately, you can find a lot of useful crafting resources in the Red Sands region. This level 40+ area is crawling with Rosetta Soldiers and Elites, so you must only visit if you are near the recommended levels. However, this region is basically a plastic factory where you will find the required materials around every corner. In our experience, we collected over 300 all-purpose plastics beside other useful resources like automatic parts from just 30 minutes of grinding in this region.

Blogs Disassemble the Goods

Disassemble

Once you gather enough raw scraps, it is time to get back to your base camp and start processing to get all-purpose plastic. Considering you heard our advice and stuck to the main tasks, you already have a disassembly bench in your base. However, if you don’t have it already, simply open the Memetics Cradle, navigate to the Infrastructure Tab, and unlock the Memetics for Disassemble Bench. Finally, build the bench (10x Copper Ingot, 20x Gravel) and interact with it to get your plastics. Here are the exact amounts of all-purpose plastic that you will get from disassembling each item:

  • Swimming Ring x1
  • Chemical Agent x2
  • Golf Club Head x2
  • Fuel Tank x3
  • Milk Frothier x2
  • Piston x2
  • Super Glue x2
  • Employee Badge x2
  • Parcel Box x2
  • Bucket x3

Blogs Conclusion

There you have it, that’s all about how to get all-purpose plastic in Once Human early-game and endgame stages. Just make sure to collect everything from the outside world, and you will never run out of this common resource ever again.
