Where to Get Fireproof Plastic in Once Human?
As much as we like to play Once Human in PUBG style, we can’t ignore its survival-crafting mechanics. Basically, you must gather resources either directly from natural deposits or by disassembling scraps and craft unique weapons, armor sets, and other equipment to survive in the post-apocalyptic world. In this regard, Fireproof Plastic is one of the most important resources for crafting intermediate gear and Tier-3 items. The only problem is that despite being such an important material, it is nowhere to be found in the game world.
So, if you just reached level 20+ and are looking for the best ways to farm this resource, well, you are not alone. Therefore, in this article, we will discuss where to get Fireproof Plastic in Once Human and the best farming strategies, let’s start:

Blogs Once Human: Where to Get Fireproof Plastic?
Once Human is a progressive game that starts off slow and takes a sharp turn within a few gameplay hours. As a result, you start with simple common materials that you can find almost everywhere, and it keeps getting harder as you progress through the main story. Generally, players start looking for Fireproof Plastic around level 20 after completing the Second Monolith.
Fortunately, the game guides you to one of the best farming locations for new resources and prepares you for the harder enemies in the new regions. However, it isn’t quite clear how to acquire the new upgrade materials, as most of them spawn as secondary resources that you can extract from industrial-grade scraps and loot items. Here’s how to get Fireproof Plastic in Once Human:
Blogs Visit Iron River
Players looking for Fireproof Plastic may wander around for several hours without finding any traces of this exotic material. Therefore, you should directly head to the Iron River region after completing the Second Monolith without wasting any time. At this point, you will be on level 21 and aptly equipped for the level 23+ enemies in this region. However, this level is only a recommendation and you can still scavenge a lot of loot with a few companions or if you already have the best weapons in the game.
In any case, head to the Iron River, northwest of the Dayton Wetlands, and visit the Refinery Pollution Point (5249, -3727). This level 23 settlement has several crates and scraps lying around all over the place. While we suggest that you pick up everything that you can find in this area, you should definitely hunt for specific items like:
- Animal Statue
- Baking Pan
- Gel
- Note board
- Power Cable
- Protective Suit
- Safety Helmet
- Sports Water Battle
- Tire
- Waste Bin
Once you have cleared the entire Refinery Pollution Point, you can then either go back to your base or go deeper into enemy territory if you are looking for even more loot. In this case, you can go visit the Highland Buildings (4973, -4489) as it has even more loot scrap lying all over the place. However, this area is crawling with level 25 enemies, so we suggest that you should only visit it at character level 23+.
Blogs Disassemble the Scraps
Now that you have enough junk in your inventory, it is time to head back to your base territory. Hopefully, you have already installed a Disassembly Bench in your safehouse, or else all this loot will go to waste. If you don’t have the bench yet, simply open the Cradle Menu, navigate to the infrastructure sub-menu under Memetics, unlock the Disassembly Bench Formula and build it with Gravel and Copper Ingots.
Next, interact with the Disassembly Bench and use all your loot scraps to disassemble them into simpler components. The best part is that this machine shows exactly which items you can get from each operation, so sorting your loot for Fireproof Plastic won’t be a problem. Keep in mind, different scraps yield varying amounts of Fireproof Plastic, so you won’t get the same results from each operation.
Which Items Give Fireproof Plastic?
We have been playing around with various scraps to test out their disassembly yield. In our experience, rare items like Tires and Sports Water Bottles gave a lot more plastic than Note Boards and Animal Statues. Here is a list of all items that give Fireproof Plastic and their yields:
- Safety Helmet x3
- Tire x3
- Waste Bin x3
- Protective Suit x3
- Sports Water Battle x3
- Animal Statue x2
- Gel x2
- Baking Pan x2
- Power Cable x2
- Note board x1
Note: These are the items that we have tested so far, so there can be a lot of other scraps that you can disassemble to harvest Fireproof Plastic (keep looking, we will do the same).
Oh, and if you are looking for Refined Parts in Once Human, you can find them in pretty much the same locations and disassemble as Fireproof Plastic, just make sure to use your Disassembly Bench.
Blogs How to Use Fireproof Plastic?
Fireproof Plastic is an advanced material in Once Human required to craft higher level gear upgrades and almost every electronic device. Furthermore, you will also need this resource to build Solar Generators to power your base camp. So, if you are only looking for this resource to build the Solar plant, only 4x Fireproof Plastic will suffice. However, if you want to craft other items in your intermediate gear workbench, you will need an endless supply of Fireproof Plastic, so keep looking for important loot scraps whenever you are out of your territory.
- Solar Generator:
- Cars
- Motorcycles
- Wires
- Electrical Devices
Blogs Conclusion
There you have it, where to get Fireproof Plastic in Once Human? Well, you won’t have to ask anymore. While you can harvest this important resource from many sources, we recommend that you go only for the high-yield items like Tires and Sports Water Bottles. Hopefully, you have found all your answers in this article; feel free to reach out if you have any suggestions or would like to add anything.
