The post-apocalyptic world in Once Human can get pretty lonely at times, mainly because there’s no one coming to lend a hand. Fortunately, there are certain Territory Type Deviants in the game who not only help in your daily homestead chores but also lift your spirits when you are feeling down. Unlike the Gadget Type Deviants, Territory Type will go out on their own and fetch useful resources, repair the base, and carry out the day-to-day chores within your territory.

However, most of these Deviants are only good as the services they provide when placed in their Isolated Units. So, you should only pick out the best ones to really add some value to your base. Otherwise, it isn’t wise to waste your precious resources on the useless ones (Yes, you, Fetch-A-Lot Bunny). Therefore, in this article, we will provide a list of all Territory Type Deviants in Once Human, what makes them happy, and how to get them, let’s start:

Table Contents

All Territory Type Deviants in Once Human

Territory Type Deviants in Once Human will go out on their own and bring back useful resources from within your territory. Furthermore, some Deviants will repair the damaged structures and even cuddle in your sleep to lift your spirits. However, you can only install a handful of Isolated Securement Units in your camp, so it would be best to only catch the Deviants who really add some value to your base. Therefore, we have provided a list of all Territory Type Deviants in Once Human to help you make informed decisions:

Buzzy Bee

Buzzy Bee

Most of us only come back to the base camp to craft new materials, upgrade weapons, and, of course, to grow our own crops. In this regard, the Buzzy Bee is perhaps the best Once Human Deviant to add to your camp. This Deviant appears near your crops, increases their efficiency, and even gives them a chance to mutate. However, you should keep this one happy all the time as the probability of mutation is directly linked to the Deviant’s energy levels.

How to Get Buzzy Bee?

There is no specific place to catch the Buzzy Bee in Once Human. He may be found in one of the Morphic Crates, may drop near crops, and even within your own farmland. One sure way to get this special Deviant is the pumpkin field in Citrus County, but it only works on PVE servers.

Happiness Guide:

The Buzzy Bee is fond of everything that’s either natural or soft, like music. So, the best way to make this one happy is to place its Isolated Unit in the same room as your crops, oh, and don’t forget to add some music in the room as well.

  • Music
  • Crops
  • Flowers

Chefosaurus Rex

Chefosaurus Rex

Did you notice something strangely familiar in Chefosaurus’s name? Well, he is indeed a ‘Chef’ o Saurus! Basically, the Chefosaurus Rex will help you in cooking delicious meals on your electric stove. He speeds up the cooking process (maybe by cutting the vegies for you) and even increases the effectiveness of all your cooked meals. So, if you are a fan of cooking homemade meals, you should definitely look out for the Chefosaurus in Once Human.

How to Get Chefosaurus Rex?

Firstly, you can capture the Chefosaurus Rex during one of the Greywater Camp Quests given by Lowe. If you missed that chance, you could always find him at the Securement Silo–Phi in the Iron River region.

Happiness Guide:

A dedicated chef is always happy whenever he steps into his own kitchen, and the Chefosaurus is no different. Therefore, you should place his Securement Unit in the kitchen to make him happy. Here is a list of all the things that this cute chef is fond of:

  • Red Light
  • High temperature
  • Toys

Electric Eel

Electric Eel

Well, the Territory Type Deviants have pretty simple names that instantly give a glimpse of their powers. For example, the Electric Eel is a fish-type Deviant that boosts the power output of all your electricity generators, be it Solar, Fuel, or even hydro turbines. However, his powers only work on one generator, so players are always happy to get multiple copies of him, and he isn’t that hard to catch either.

How to Get Electric Eel?

As mentioned earlier, capturing the Electric Eel is very easy; simply get your fishing rod, a bunch of baits from the Frog Deviant, and you are good to go. Basically, there is a chance to catch him while fishing at any spot. However, you can further increase your chances by participating in the Fishing Events. (Note: bait makes no difference!)

Happiness Guide:

The Electric Eel Deviant has rather unconventional preferences; we tried giving him electric shocks, but that didn’t work. Instead, you can please this one by installing the following items:

  • Blue Light
  • High Temperature
  • Music

Extradimensional Cat

Extradimensional Cat

Next up, we have the cute, squishy, and fluffy pet that most of us were waiting for, apparently a treat for all our cat lovers. The Extradimensional Cat is a special Once Human Deviant that behaves like a real cat and does nothing! Well, apart from giving you warm hugs and loving cuddles, this cute Deviant will give you the Cat Snooze buff and regenerate your HP whenever you sleep inside your base camp; how lovely!

How to Get Extradimensional Cat?

The Extradimensional Cat Deviant usually spawns in almost all safe zone towns, so that’s where you can capture it. In our case, we found it in the Meyer’s Market and Greywater Camp towns. Moreover, some players have also reported its sighting near Lowe at the Tall Grass Inn.

Happiness Guide:

Most people love cats because they don’t need much maintenance except for your attention and, perhaps, a few toys. So, the best way to keep this fluffy happy is to give it a few toys and watch it try to catch its own tail.

Fetch-A-Lot Bunny

Fetch a lot Bunny

Speaking of fluffy and cute pets, what can be cuter than a bunny? As the name suggests, the Fetch-A-Lot Bunny is a rabbit that goes out of the camp and brings back shrubs, herbs, and flowers for you to use in your recipes. However, this bunny is better off unfetched, as you can only use these ingredients in brewing teas. In other words, you shouldn’t catch this one if you already have a higher tier Deviant like the Logging Beaver.

How to Get Fetch-A-Lot Bunny?

You can catch the Fetch-A-Lot Bunny while chopping down large trees like Dracaena or Bald Cypress at any location. However, you must only use the Tungsten Axe as lower-tier axes and chainsaws won’t drop the Deviant.

Happiness Guide:

Again, the Fetch-A-Lot Bunny is a nature lover, so it will live in harmony with the Buzzy Bee. Here are all the things that keep him happy in his Securement Unit:

  • Crops
  • Toy
  • Flowers

Flame Essence

Flame Essence

The Flame Essence is pretty much like the fire version of the Electric Eel Deviant. This pet will increase the efficiency and production of all flame units, like the furnaces and electric furnaces in your base. So, unlike the Eel, you only need to catch one Flame Essence to power up the whole base. Overall, if you are looking for must-have Territory Type Deviants, this one definitely deserves a spot on the list.

How to Get Flame Essence?

The Flame Essence Deviant usually appears near polluted facilities and industrial zones. We have seen it in the following locations:

  • On top of the Water Pipe in Greywater Camp
  • Greywater Industrial Zone
  • Sutherland Chemical Plant (6074, -5987)
  • Hearst Industries Building (6074, -5985)

However, most of them are hostile territories, so you better bring a few Combat Type Deviants on the hunt.

Happiness Guide:

The Flame Essence Deviant isn’t really hard to please as long as you equip the Securement Unit with the right tools. We found the following items to get the job done:

  • Electricity (10W)
  • Red Light
  • Toys

Growshroom

So far, we have only discussed the Deviants that either buff the facilities or bring resources to your base, but what about your helping hands? Well, the Growshroom is the best Deviant for farming in Once Human. This pet will automatically sow seeds in your farm plots, look after the plants, and harvest the crops at the right time. So, you won’t have to worry about your farming needs once you capture this special Deviant.

How to Get Growshroom?

The Growshroom is a droppable Deviant that appears when farming mushrooms in your base or even when picking up the mushrooms from the wild. The best place to look for it is inside caves where mushrooms usually spawn.

Happiness Guide:

Initially, it seemed like the Growshroom would prosper in low temperature zones, but we were wrong. Actually, the Growshroom thrives in hot climates and apparently needs a dose of electric shock to get started:

  • High Temperature
  • Green Light
  • Electricity (5W)

H37

H37

The H37 is perhaps the best Territory Type Deviant in Once Human for scavenging scraps and even rare materials like Acid and Automatic Parts. This creature will go out on its own, salvage the nearby areas, and come back with random loot items ranging from rare resources to processable scraps. In short, you will always come back to your camp for a surprise with this Deviant in the house.

How to Get H37?

You can capture H37 after completing his Fragments of a Memory Quest in the Greywater Camp. Alternatively, you can also capture H37 after defeating the Seepage Zone boss in Silo—Alpha.

Happiness Guide:

Apparently, the H37 Deviant is a fan of rock music, electrical charges, and mechanical toys. So, you can keep him happy by presenting the following items:

  • Electricity (10W)
  • Music
  • Toy

Lethal Rabbit

Lethal Rabbit

Unlike Fetch-A-Lot Bunny, the Lethal Rabbit is truly a ‘lethal’ Deviant to have in your base camp. This creature goes out on its own, hunts down various animals, skins them and brings back animal resources like hide and fresh meat back to the base. So, you won’t have to worry about hunting your own food as long as you have the Lethal Rabbit in the house.

How to Get Lethal Rabbit?

The Lethal Rabbit randomly drops when skinning wild rabbits in the game. Alternatively, you can also find him in the Keycard room in Silo—Sigma. However, the chances are pretty slim in both locations, so you must be determined to get it.

Happiness Guide:

The Lethal Rabbit is a pretty dark creature that loves to live in seclusion, maybe to save others from harm. In any case, you can keep this one happy with the following items:

  • Electricity (5W)
  • Red Light
  • Low Temperatures

Logging Beaver

Logging Beaver

Next up, we have perhaps the best Territory Type Deviant in Once Human. The Logging Beaver has secured a top spot in almost every best-of list, and for good reasons. Basically, this Deviant will go out on its own, chop down large trees, and bring back the logs while you are busy with other tasks. Furthermore, he will also sometimes bring back furniture to decorate your base camp. Overall, this Deviant alone is enough to take your mind off of the logging needs.

How to Get a Logging Beaver?

The Logging Beaver usually appears near the wooden docks south of the Meyer’s Market region. Alternatively, you can also spot him on the wooden docks south of the Broken Delta region where most Fishing Events take place. In any case, you can try swapping between worlds to increase your chances.

Happiness Guide:

You can’t easily please the Logging Beaver unless you place him somewhere between the electric generators and farmlands. Here are all the things that lift his mood:

  • Electricity (3W)
  • Music
  • Crops

Nutcracker

Nutcracker

Do you remember the Nutcracker from all the Christmas movies? Well, this Deviant is the exact same creature but with a twist. Usually, the Nutcracker will guard the perimeters of your base camp and shoot its turret at any danger lurking around the territory. So, you won’t return to a broken down camp once you capture this important defense Deviant in Once Human.

How to Get Nutcracker?

Currently, the only way to get the Nutcracker Deviant is to defeat the fifth boss, Mensdevoran inside the Forsaken Monolith. So, good luck with that!

Happiness Guide:

The Nutcracker is fond of Christmas and all the shiny things that come with it. So, you can easily please him by installing the following items:

  • Green Light
  • Electricity (5W)
  • Toys

Paper Doll

Paper Doll

The Paper Doll Deviant, formerly known as the Paper Figure in Once Human, is an important addition to your arsenal. This Deviant will patrol around your territory and repair all damaged structures, including walls, floors, and Stardust Resonant Filters. Furthermore, she will also sometimes collect special items from other Deviants during purification, how good is that? Overall, the Paper Doll, combined with the Nutcracker, will take care of the base while you are away.

How to Get Paper Doll?

You can find the Paper Doll in multiple locations when collecting Chemical Agents on the Breezy Shores or High Banks. Alternatively, you can also get it as a reward for completing a quest for Lowe at the Greywater Camp.

Happiness Guide:

The Paper Doll is always on the move, so she loves everything that your base has to offer. However, we found that tidy rooms and flowers cheer her up more than anything:

  • Flowers
  • Red Light
  • Toys

Rain Man

Rain Man

The Rain Man Deviant is the perfect addition to your farming plots. He will make it rain inside your base camp and water all the plants to perfect levels, even if they are overwatered. Now imagine this man working with the Buzzy Bee and Growshrooms, well, you won’t have to worry about your farmlands ever again!

How to Get Rain Man?

The Rain Man is a random drop by killing the Rainfall Reaper mini-bosses. While you can find these bosses almost anywhere, the Harborside and Sutherland Chemical Plant seem like the best farming locations for the Rain Man Deviant.

Happiness Guide:

What happens when it is about to rain? Well, the sky turns dark, and the winds start getting cooler, that’s exactly what cheers this handy Deviant. You can easily please him with the following ambiances:

  • Low Temperatures
  • Blue Light

Rebecca

Rebecca

Rebecca is a supporting Deviant for all your other Combat, Gadget, and Territory Type Deviants. Basically, Rebecca summons an avatar of Mitsuko in your camp and plays piano to soothe the mood of everyone else. In other words, Rebecca will increase the Deviant Energy Gain of all Deviants placed in Securement Units inside your base.

How to Get Rebecca?

You can drop Rebecca after completing the LEA Research lab raid in the Red Sands region. In case you missed it, you can always replay the raid and capture her.

Happiness Guide:

Rebecca lifts the mood of everyone else, but what about her own mood swings? Well, you can please her with the following items near her Seclusion Unit:

  • Green Light
  • Flowers
  • Toys

Strange Door

Strange Door

The Strange Door Deviant is a hybrid Gadget-Territory Type Deviant who really makes traveling a breeze. This pet produces the Shattered Strange Door (in case you were looking for it), which you can use to craft Portals. These portals in turn allow you to instantly teleport to any location with a portal. So, you can say goodbye to riding your motorcycles, that’s old-school now.

How to Get Strange Door?

You can capture the Strange Door Deviant during the Chalk Peaks main story quest. Alternatively, it also randomly spawns near the Door Puzzles in Dayton Wetlands (6509, -5230) and Iron River (6609, -3678).

Happiness Guide:

The Strange Door Deviant is truly ‘Strange’ in terms of preferences. You can cheer him up with the following ambiances:

  • Flowers
  • Red Light
  • Blue Light

The Digby Boy

The Digby Boy

The Digby Boy is a handy resource guide indeed in Once Human. This special Deviant will go out on its own and mine all nearby nodes in the same territory and bring rare mineral ores back to the base camp. However, it can only mine the nodes around your base camp. On the bright side, you can also use him to man the Automated Mining Platform within your base camp to generate exquisite minerals like Gold, Tungsten, and Silver Ores.

How to Get The Digby Boy?

The Digby Boy randomly drops when mining various nodes with a high-tier pickaxe. In our experience, mining the Silver Nodes has the highest chance of dropping this bad boy.

Happiness Guide:

Fortunately, it doesn’t take much to cheer the Digby Boy Deviant. We just placed it near our Flame Essence and gave it an electric shock to make it feel right at home. Here are all the items that can cheer him up:

  • Red Light
  • Electricity (5W)
  • Music
  • Toys

Conclusion

To sum it up, Territory Type Deviants are extremely useful to generate common resources, defend your base, farm crops, and repair any damaged structures. Hopefully, you have already found your favorite Deviants from our all Territory Type Deviants in Once Human list, still, feel free to reach out if you have any questions or suggestions to improve this guide.
