Diablo IV Season 6 is finally here, and with it comes a new campaign, a lot of changes to the core mechanics, a new Spiritborn Class, and a whole new level cap. Unlike the previous seasons, this time, the game brings a new story expansion called the Vessel of Hatred. So, players who want to experience the immense powers of the Spiritborn Evade build in Nahantu must quickly progress through the campaign to reach the max level 60.

Fortunately for us, character progression isn't a huge problem anymore, as players can easily unlock the Paragon board by just focusing on the main story. However, if you really want to quickly level up in Diablo IV Season 6, you must consult our specially designed cheat sheet. Without further delay, let's explore the fastest way to level up in Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred expansion:

How to Quickly Level up in Season 6: What is Level Cap

Blizzard Studio has reduced the max level cap for Diablo IV from 100 to 60. After reaching this level cap, players can further rise in character levels to unlock the 300 Paragon Board skills. However, these numbers are strictly based on launch data, and the Devs can include even more changes in upcoming updates.

In any case, reaching the max level 60 can be a breeze for most players as long as they stick to a strict grinding routine. Secondly, you don't need to play the game on Penitent difficulty to reach this level. Instead, skip the main campaign and follow the Vessel of Hatred story quests in either Normal or Hard difficulty settings, and you are good to go. In our experience, we managed to reach character level 45 only by completing the expansion story on Hard difficulty and a few Strongholds in a single 8-10 hours session.

Blogs How to Quickly Reach Level 60 in Diablo IV Season 6?

Okay so now that we know about the basics, it is time to jump right into our extensive leveling cheat sheet. This guide focuses on all stages of the game, from character creation to the endgame sequence and, of course, the post-endgame leveling for Paragon Board points. However, the first step is only for those players who have already purchased and installed the Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred expansion.

In case you just wish to learn about leveling in Season 6 without the Vessel of Hatred expansion, you can skip step 1 as the rest of the game is pretty much the same. Secondly, we will be focusing on a Spiritborn character, but you can apply these steps to any other class if you aren't interested in creating a seasonal character.

First things first, the new Vessel of Hatred expansion requires that the players to complete the main story campaign on any character at least once. Otherwise, you won't get the skip campaign option during character creation. So, if you are a newcomer, you must play the main campaign to unlock the expansion quests and content. However, it is a good thing, as you will be halfway around the max level cap by the time you complete the base game. If you are a Diablo IV veteran and are bored from playing the same game over and over, then you can skip this step and proceed to the expansion.

Blogs Finish Vessel of Hatred

How to Quickly Level up in Season 6: Finish Vessel of Hatred

This first step is an obvious one for new players as they won't get the Skip Campaign option. However, it isn't a total waste of time, as playing through the campaign will gradually introduce you to all the game mechanics and help you quickly gain XP. Secondly, you should consider playing in higher-difficulty settings as long as you are comfortable with the task. Basically, a higher difficulty setting increases the XP gain per task or quest completion and even increases the Gold dropping rate.

Here is a list of all difficulties in Diablo IV and their respective XP buffs:

  • Normal: no XP or Gold buffs, but the progression is beginner-friendly.
  • Hard: 75% more XP and Gold.
  • Expert: 125% more XP and Gold.
  • Penitent: 175% more XP and Gold, but not suitable for new players.

Once you reach Level 60 and finish the main campaign, you will unlock even higher difficulty tiers for completing The Pit. However, choose wisely, as you will lose 250 Armor Points and -25% Elemental Resistance per Tier.

Torment 1:

  • Unlocks at Pit Tier 20.
  • 300% more XP and Gold.
  • Lose 250 Armor and -25% Elemental Resistance.

Torment 2:

  • Unlocks at Pit Tier 35+.
  • 400% more XP and Gold.
  • Lose 500 Armor and -50% Elemental Resistance.

Torment 3:

  • Unlocks at Pit Tier 50.
  • 500% more XP and Gold.
  • Lose 750 Armor and -75% Elemental Resistance.

Torment 4:

  • Unlocks at Pit Tier 65.
  • 600% more XP and Gold.
  • Lose 1000 Armor and -100% Elemental Resistance.

Blogs Step 1: Character Level 1 to 45

How to Quickly Level up in Season 6: Step 1

  • Focus on completing the Vessel of Hatred story quests between character levels 1 to 45 and avoid the Strongholds, as they will come in handy after the endgame sequence.
  • Start off slow at Normal difficulty if you are a new player or Hard if you are experienced with the game.
  • Prioritize the Creeping Hatred quest and then kill your first Realmwalker to unlock the Seething Opals.
  • Don't forget to grab a pet to unlock auto-loot.
  • Complete the Raising Spirits at levels 10-15 to unlock the Alchemists and Elixirs.
  • Finish the class quest at level 15 and then return to the Vessel of Hatred campaign.
  • Stack and use the Seething Opals during quests, as they will increase your XP gain by 15% for 30 minutes.
  • Try to reach level 45 by the end of the Vessel of Hatred campaign. If you fail to do so, then complete a few Helltide Events and start clearing dungeons for the Legendary Aspects for your build (don't forget to use the Seething Opals).

Blogs Step 2: Character Level 45 to 60

How to Quickly Level up in Season 6: Step 2

  • You have already finished the Vessel of Hatred campaign, so switch to Normal difficulty if you started the game on Hard.
  • Focus on clearing the Strongholds (especially in Nahantu) and prioritize renown to unlock Paragon Points.

Blogs Step 3: Character Level 60

How to Quickly Level up in Season 6: Step 3

  • Switch the difficulty settings to Penitent (or Expert if you aren't comfortable with it).
  • Optimize your gear via Tempering, Runewords, and Gems.
  • Complete at least 3 to 4 Nightmare Dungeons for Glyphs.
  • Unlock the Torment 1 Difficulty by completing The Pit Tier 20.

Blogs Things to Do After the Level Cap

How to Quickly Level up in Season 6: Things to do

Once you complete the Vessel of Hatred campaign (even if you skip the base campaign), you will be somewhere around level 45. Next, grind through the Strongholds and Nightmare Dungeons, and maybe kill a few Realmwalkers along the way to reach the level cap 60. However, it's not really the end of the game, as you must now rush the extracurricular activities in Diablo 4 to unlock all 300 Paragon Points and skills.

These skills are absolutely crucial for your survival after the endgame sequence and to rise to the top of the food chain. In this regard, you must now grind through every possible event and activity to earn those much-needed XP points. Oh, and don't forget to abuse the Seething Opals and all other Elixirs as much as possible, as they will drastically improve your character progression.

Blogs Run The Pit

How to Quickly Level up in Season 6: Step 3

Honestly, the entire post-endgame scenario runs around The Pit as it is the only practical way to unlock higher difficulties and World Tiers. On the contrary, everything else is to help you improve your character and earn a few skill points to prepare for higher Pit Tiers. However, unlocking a new Torment difficulty doesn't mean that you must play it. So, don't hesitate to switch back to Torment 1 if the second Tier is giving you a hard time. The general rule of thumb is to stick to the Pit Tier that you can easily clear in 3 to 5 minutes and focus on improving your Glyphs.

If you want to push your limits in The Pit, then switch to other optional activities to earn Paragon Skills and then return to the Pit to test your latest creations.

Blogs Infernal Hordes and Helltide Events

How to Quickly Level up in Season 6: Infernal Hordes

Next up, we have the Infernal Hordes and the notorious Helltide Events. Both these events offer some serious loot and XP gain that you can't find anywhere else. For instance, if you are after the XP gains for your Paragon Board but don't feel like running The Pit, then switch to Infernal Hordes. This event lands you the most XP on completion, and it doesn't really take that long once you master the first 20 Pit Tiers.

Note: If you can't see the Infernal Hordes on your map, you probably haven't completed the "To the Edge of the Abyss" priority quest. Also, stack up your Infernal Compasses, as you will be needing a ton of them.

As for the Helltide Events, they offer the highest number of enemies per square inch in the game. So, this event is a great source to grind XP, Gold, and gear from the Mystery Chests. Also, don't use your Cinders and Baneful Hearts until the end of the event to maximize your loot and XP gains.

Blogs Prioritize the Realmwalker Events

How to Quickly Level up in Season 6: Realmwalker

When playing any of the Diablo games, the general rule of thumb is to prioritize whatever new events the current season brings. As the Realmwalker Rising is the main headline of Diablo 4 Season 6, that's where you will be getting all the good stuff. Whether you are hunting for those Seething Opals to boost your XP and Loot gains or just want a change of pace to unlock Legendary loot items, the Seething Realm is the go-to event for this season.

Furthermore, it won't take that long to master the Seething Realm dungeons as you have already finished the Vessel of Hatred and even defeated quite a few Realmwalkers along the way. Just don't forget to choose the best Seething Realm Floor that suits your requirements (Gold, Material, Equipment, or Torments), and you will find whatever items your heart desires for your Spiritborn or any other build.

Blogs Conclusion
