The fastest way to get your hands on around 50x Golden Apples is to purchase from the seasonal shop. While this method is fast and guarantees your desired output every time, it requires extensive use of your hard-earned Star Crystals. If you have been playing the game for a while, you may already know that earning these Star currencies is no joke.
On the contrary, it is a sure way to get some Golden Apples when you are in dire need of this material. Simply head to the Season Pass tab and open Zenu's Star Shop. Next, scroll all the way down until you find the Cooking Ingredient Selection Basket. This basket works in pretty much the same way as Material Selection Chests. Simply purchase the basket and then choose any Tier 2 ingredient to unlock it.
Currently, you can purchase 1x Cooking Ingredient Selection Basket for about 20 Star Crystals unless there is an ongoing sale event. These Star Trees are global spawns, meaning they are accessible to all nearby players. So, it will be a race against other players, and whoever gets to the tree first reaps its rewards. Here are the best places to search for Golden Apple Star Trees on rainy days:
- Akidu Valley
- Greyclaw Forest
- Manawastes
- Purelight Hill
- Ruins of Turayne
- Shattered Temple
Keep in mind these places have the highest spawn rate of high-level Star Trees and thus have the highest chances of dropping Tier 2 ingredients, including the Golden Apples. However, it doesn't mean you can't look for them elsewhere, as most of the other players will be busy grinding these specific spots. Well, it's not either; most probably, your competitor has figured out how to exploit the game mechanics. Don't worry; we are about to teach you how to become the fastest Golden Apple farmer in Throne and Liberty.
For this farming guide, you must equip everything that improves your movement speed. Also, don't forget to unlock and equip the best Dash Morph that you can afford for your character. Doing so will ensure that none of the other players get to the Star Tree faster than you. Next, stock up your Command Seals supply, as you will need a lot of them to change the weather. In case you don't have access to the Command Seals yet, simply head to regions like the Akidu Valley, as it has the rainiest weather in the game.
Once you have these items, head to any of the best Golden Apple Farming locations and use your Command Seals to make it rain. From our experience, Canina Village in Greyclaw Forest has the highest Golden Apple drop rate, but it doesn't have as many Star Fruit Trees. On the other hand, Purelight Hill has significantly higher Star Fruit Trees but you won't get as many Golden Apples from here. Lastly, you will need Command Seals for both of these areas; otherwise, just pack your gear and head to the Akidu Valley.
As soon as you spot a Star Fruit Tree, quickly use all your resources (including the Dash Morph) to quickly get close to it.
