Time

V Rising Team Editor

Building a castle is an important step in your V Rising playthrough. This safehouse keeps all your equipment, loot, crafting stations, and valuable items. Moreover, your V Rising castle is a place where you can sit back, drink blood, and relax without any threats. As you will be spending a lot of time here, it is crucial to choose the best place to build a castle.

The game asks you to build your base during the early-game phase. You must consider factors such as access to important resources, space for expansion, safety from other players, and ease of travel around the map. The only problem is that you can set up camp pretty much anywhere on the huge world map, making it a confusing decision. Therefore, this article provides some of the best V Rising locations to build your castle, let’s get started:

Blogs V Rising: How to Build a Castle?

How to Build Castle

Before we dive into the whole castle-building mechanics, it is important to understand some basic concepts. First of all, you must unlock the Castle Heart and place it at your desired location. As mentioned earlier, you should consider all possible options while considering the decisive factors.

Once you place the heart, it prompts you to declare the castle’s boundaries. These boundaries act as virtual barriers to how far your castle walls can expand. Therefore, it is important to clear the surrounding area as you can only allocate the castle’s area on time. With the Castle Heart and boundaries in place, it is time to start having some fun in the builder menu.

You can access numerous options for your castle’s walls, roof, floors, and even unlocked furniture. During the early-game phase, you will only have access to limited options. However, as you progress through various V Rising Acts, you will unlock new options like Smithy, Workbench, decorations, and Crafting Stations. So, you should leave empty space for future additions and some more room if you want to play with your friends. This way, you won’t have to tear down the castle walls and completely renovate the castle just to make room for a new Workbench.

Now that your castle is fully functional and has dedicated spaces for various activities, it is time to start reinforcing the overall structure. This step is optional for single-player campaigns but extremely crucial for PvP Vampires. In the multiplayer mode, higher-level players will try raiding your castle to loot your valuable resources. Therefore, investing considerable resources like stone bricks, wooden planks, and blood essence is important while reinforcing your castle.

Blogs V Rising: Best Locations to Build Castle

Now that we have some basic understanding of how to build a castle in V Rising, it is time to decide where to place the Castle Heart. You can choose to build your base almost anywhere in the game, as long as it is built on land. However, you must select the location while considering all important factors.

For example, the castle should be close enough to important resources like Wood, Iron, Leather, Whetstone, Copper, and Sulphur. Similarly, the selected location should have enough room to expand your castle in the future. You should also consider the ease with which you can teleport around the map via Waygates or the new V Rising tunneling system (added in the new 1.0 update). Lastly, the best way to play V Rising is with friends on the multiplayer server.

Therefore, the castle should be built in an isolated location so that no offensive wanderer accidentally discovers your base and tears it apart for fun. In this regard, building a castle on elevated platforms seems like a reasonable choice. You can find countless platforms on the map with bold outlines. With every consideration in mind, here are the best locations to build a castle in V Rising:

Blogs West Farbane Woods: Overall Best Castle Location

West Farbane

Farbane Woods has been a fan-favorite location since the early access days. You will spend the first few hours in this forest, taking down bosses and completing quests. So, it is natural to feel at home in Farbane Woods.

But wait, there’s more! If you settle anywhere in West Farbane Woods, you get access to basic building resources like Wood, Stone, and Iron. With the addition of a new cave traveling system, you can now use the cave in the woods and exit on the other side of the Cursed Forest. So, you can easily get Iron and use the caves to return home safely. The only drawback of settling in Farbane Woods is that it is quite popular among the players, and the territory is probably already claimed on your server.

Blogs South Dunley Farmlands: Best Location for Resources

South Dunley Farmlands

If you want to live close to the Farbane Woods without losing all the added benefits, the Southern edge of Dunley Farmlands might just be the perfect place to settle. As you probably know, Iron becomes an extremely important resource after character level 30, and you will make unlimited trips to the Haunted Iron Mines to get it. So, it is only reasonable to set up base close enough to make multiple trips in a single game day.

Another benefit of building your castle in South Dunley Farmlands is that it offers more than enough room for a large castle. Moreover, the area is located right in the center of the game map, making it easy for you to travel in any direction without using Waygates. However, if you decide to settle on the marked location, you must place your defenses on both the eastern and western entrances. Apart from that, this location is perfect for farming almost all resources in V Rising.

Blogs West Silverlight Hills: Best for Elevated Platform Castle

West Silverlight Hills

If you fancy living the high life in V Rising, you should probably head to the Silverlight Hills. This area is pretty similar to the Vinewood Hills from GTA V, where all the celebrities and wealthy people reside. The western locality of Silverlight Hills offers elevated platforms with medium plots for normal castles. Furthermore, it is quite isolated from the rest of the game world; you won’t be disturbed by a random wandering Vampire.

In terms of accessibility, you can use the nearby cave system to exit in east Farbane Woods and then use the Waygate to travel to any other location. Secondly, the overall area is rich in silver and gold, which are the best resources for endgame crafting. Unfortunately, this spot was nerfed in the recent update, which added two more passages to the plot; it is still quite a safe location for building your PvP castle. The only drawback is that this area is quite popular, and you should expect fierce competition as well as high-level Silver miners.

Blogs West Cursed Forest: Best Location for Massive Castles

West Cursed Forest

This next location is most suitable for building endgame castles in V Rising. The most prominent benefit of building your base here is that it offers huge plots for your majestic castle. Secondly, you don’t need to worry about any intruders as the location is in the corner of the map with no nearby waygates or cave systems.

So, you don’t need to invest too much in your castle defenses as long as you are okay with the forest’s curse. In terms of resources, you will have no trouble finding Iron, Ghost Yarn, Spectral Dust, Gold, Silver, and Scales. Furthermore, there is a nearby human settlement where you can farm for loyal slaves and distribute your tasks among them. However, the added protection also means that you must travel quite far to access the nearest teleporting location. In our opinion, the West Cursed Forest is the best location for players who wish to play V Rising, Minecraft style.

Blogs Hallowed Mountains: Best Location for PvP Castle

Hallowed Mountains

The beauty of settling in the Hallowed Mountains lies in its isolated nature. It is the perfect spot to build your large castle without worrying about any intruders. The area has no nearby cave systems or any Vampire Waygates, and most players avoid coming here as there is little to no value in terms of resources.

On the bright side, you don’t need to invest too much in your castle’s defenses, and you can enjoy some prime gaming time with your buddies. Secondly, most of the plots here are located on Elevated Platforms, making it an ideal location for your Vampire Castle. Oh, and don’t worry about basic building resources like wood, stone, and Iron, as the area has an abundance of these. However, the only drawback is that you must travel quite far to access rarer resources like Silver and Gold, but that shouldn’t bother you as it is a PvP castle, after all.

Blogs How to Move Castle in V Rising?

The new V Rising 1.0 update offers a unique system to move your castle to new locations. This feature wasn’t available during the early access and was added due to the ever-increasing player demand. Now, you can use the Castle Relocation Heart to move your castle to any new location by using only 100 Blood Essence. The best part is that this relocation will move all the major components of your castle for free and place the unused components inside your travel bag.

However, before we learn how to move the castle in V Rising, you should acquire the Castle Relocation Heart first. To unlock this heart, simply progress your journal quests until you reach The First Book in the Library. Next, build a Research Desk in your current castle and interact with it to unlock the Relocation Heart.

Now that you have the new heart, simply head to the new location where you wish to move your castle. We recommend clearing some space around the plot to make sure you have enough room for your castle boundaries. Next, interact with the Castle Relocation Heart and select “Link to the Castle.” If you have multiple castles, make sure to choose the right one, as this process is irreversible.

Once you choose “Move Castle,” everything from your previous castle will be transferred to your Travel Bag. Next, place the Travel Bag where you wish to shift your castle and open the builder menu. You can now place all of your previous castle’s components free of cost. The resources that you don’t utilize will remain safe in your travel bag until you use or drop them. Everything from your previous castle will be moved to the new setting, except for the unmoved structures; their materials will be transferred to your Travel Bag. Finally, interact with the Castle Relocation Heart again to finish the relocation process and enjoy living in your new castle.

Blogs Conclusion

Now that you know how to build a castle and have chosen the best place for your V Rising base castle, it is time to roll up your sleeves and get to work. The possibilities are endless as long as you let your creativity do the job. You can design anything and anywhere, even a Disney castle or maybe a Hogwarts-style structure; who cares? Hopefully, this article has guided you well in creating and moving your castles to some of the best locations in the game.
