Elden Ring: How to Get the Young Lion’s Armor in Shadow of the Erdtree?
The new Shadow of the Erdtree Elden Ring expansion comes with a variety of new weapons, armor sets, quests, and, of course, the formidable bosses. While defeating these bosses is pretty rewarding in itself, as it fills you up with a sense of pride and accomplishment, there's a lot more attached to it. For instance, you can defeat various bosses to unlock their special weapons and robust armor sets. In this regard, the Young Lion's Armor is by far the most notable prize to hunt in your campaign.
Rumors are that invading players and weaker NPCs flee the battle arena as soon as they see someone wearing this armor set. So, it has become a symbol of power in the Elden Ring universe, as it means that you have already defeated the toughest boss in the new DLC. The only problem is that the game isn't really clear on how to obtain it. Therefore, we will cover how to get the Young Lion's Armor in Shadow of the Erdtree and how to beat the Promised Consort Radahn with ease, let's get started:

How to Get the Young Lion's Armor in Shadow of the Erdtree?
As mentioned earlier, the Young Lion's armor is a symbol of power and accomplishment in the Elden Ring universe. So, naturally, getting the entire armor set will require some serious effort on your end. Well, you have to face and defeat the toughest boss in Elden Ring (after Malenia) to unlock it.
Another query that we have seen all over the internet is that players can't seem to find the entire armor set in exchange for the Remembrance. It is because you don't exchange it for the Remembrance but purchase it for several thousand Runes after defeating the new Radahn variant. Okay, now that we have established the ground rules, it is time to explore how to get the Young Lion's Armor Set in Elden Ring DLC:
Reach Enir-Ilim
The first step to unlocking this special armor set is to reach the Enir-Ilim, the last location in the expansion DLC. So, if you were planning to use it in your new campaign, we have some bad news for you. Basically, you must progress through the game, defeat all major bosses in Shadow of the Erdtree, and burn the Sealing Tree to reach the real Enir-Ilim (we have already covered this part here).
Next, activate and rest at the Divine Gate Front Staircase Site of Grace and go upstairs into upper Enir-Ilim, the final region of the expansion. Here, you will meet the Needle Knight Leda (yup, the exact NPC that teleported you to the Shadow Realm). However, she stops you from going any further, so the only way forward is to defeat Leda and all her followers in the battle royale setting. In any case, defeating this second-last main boss will unlock the fog gate for Radahn's battle arena.
How to Defeat the Promised Consort Radahn (easy method)?
The Promised Consort Radahn is arguably the toughest boss in the entire expansion, and he deserves the title, as he is the last boss in the game. As a result, countless players have tried and failed, and some are still trying and failing regularly without any fruitful results. Unfortunately, there is no real 'cheese' way to beat this boss, so it all depends on your skills and your gathered loot.
The good news is that we have found a few ways to exploit Radahn's weaknesses and devised a working strategy to defeat him. Before we get to defeating the boss, we must ask you to gather a few items before burning the Sealing Tree:
- Get all the Scadutree Blessing and upgrade it to level 20.
- Upgrade your Revered Spirit Ash to level 10.
- Defeat the Scadutree Avatar boss and get Miquella's Great Rune.
- Grab either the Rivers of Blood Katana or the Bloodfiend's Arm and infuse it with any Blood Ash of War.
- Lastly, equip Dragoncrest Greatshield, Two-Headed Turtle Talisman, Haligdrake Talisman +2, Holyproof Pickled Liver, and Crimsonspill Crystal Tear in your inventory slots.
Phase 1
It would be best to use your Bleed talisman and spells before entering the fog gate so that they have time to recharge and you are battle-ready right from the start. Secondly, don't call your Mimic Ashes just yet; wait for Radahn to finish his initial dash or else your companion will quickly die. We suppose you already have a huge stash of Crimson Tears; simply use the time between attacks to regain your lost HP.
As for the rest of the fight, keep your distance from the boss and wait for it to divert his attention to the summon. That's the perfect time to land several critical strikes with your Bleed-infused weapon. If the boss suddenly turns to you, don't roll; just use your shield to survive the three-strike combos. Keep repeating this strategy until Radahn's HP drops to 50%; that's when the second phase of the fight starts.
Phase 2
As soon as the second phase of the fight starts, Radahn will go airborne and launch a powerful laser attack with tons of Holy damage. Simply wait for him to launch the projectile and then run away as far as you possibly can. In case you get caught in the explosion, your Drake Talisman will absorb most of the damage. You can resume your hit-and-run tactics during the second phase as well; just avoid Radahn's grab attack, or else you will get the Heart Stolen death due to Miquella's Whispers of Persuasion.
Fortunately, Miquella's Great Rune will save you from this sudden death, but it only worked like 4 out of 6 times. Just keep dodging all his attacks, maintain your HP with Crimson Flasks, and let your Mimic get the job done for you. In the end, Radahn will fall, and you will receive the Remembrance of a God and a Lord.
Visit the Table of Lost Grace
By the time you reach the Divine Gate Front Site of Grace, you will always have unlocked the Table of Lost Grace on the map. So, grab your Remembrance, head to the Table (Roundtable Hold of Shadow Realm), and find Finger Reader Enia. You can easily find her as there aren't many NPCs in this location. Next, examine the NPC and select 'Receive Equipment of Champions.' In this store, search for the following items and purchase them:
- Young Lion's Helm: 12,000 Runes
- Young Lion's Armor: 20,000 Runes
- Young Lion's Gauntlets: 12,000 Runes
- Young Lion's Greaves: 12,000 Runes
In total, the entire Young Lion's Armor Set will cost around 56,000 Elden Ring Runes. Fortunately, defeating the Promised Consort Radahn alone drops 500,000 Runes, so you will have more than enough money to spend on your equipment. Secondly, you can use the Remembrance of a God and a Lord to get one of the following items:
- Greatsword of Radahn (Light)
- Greatsword of Radahn (Lord)
- Light of Miquella
Conclusion
That's it! You have just received one of the most powerful armor sets in the entire Elden Ring universe. In total, the whole set weighs around 37, making it a suitable choice for heavy build players. Furthermore, it can negate up to 67 Poise, so it will take a lot of staggering for your foes to get through to you. Now go back to the Lands Between and showcase your latest acquisition to friends and foes alike. You are unstoppable!
