You can easily distinguish between the basic and Phantom creatures due to their shiny appearance and the word Phantom written behind their name. However, their appearances are random, and your chances of spotting one in the wild are quite slim. Still, if you show a bit of patience and dedication, you will eventually stumble upon one such beast in your travels. Currently, there are 6 unique Phantom Echoes in Wuthering Waves, namely:

Even though the spawn rate of Phantom Echoes is significantly low in the game, it doesn't mean that you can't hunt them down. Fortunately, you don't need to explore the entire world map to spot these creatures as long as you know where to look. Secondly, the spawn time refreshes every day, so even if you weren't lucky in your first few attempts, don't give up just yet.

Basically, all you need to do to farm Phantom Echoes is to visit their dens at the start of each day, try your luck, and get on with your other chores.   • Phantom Rocksteady Guardian: Phantom Rocksteady Guardian is a bit hard to catch as it seldomly spawns in various locations. Still, you can check out the following locations to increase your chances:
    • Withering Frontline located south of the Thundering Mephis.
    • Tower of Adversity, go to the northern island to find it.

If you don't feel like hunting, you can always buy Phantom Echoes from different stores. However, the store listings refresh daily and, so you must act quickly to purchase your favorite Echoes before they disappear. Secondly, you must acquire various currencies and points as each store runs on a different currency. In any case, here's how to buy all Phantom Echoes in Wuthering Waves:

  • Phantom: Feilian Beringal: You can buy it for 120 Hazard Records from the Adversity Exchange Point Shop.
    • Requirements: Collect 1,200 Hazard Records

If you have supportive friends, they may even invite you to their realm as soon as they spot a Phantom that you really desire. However, the invitation should be sent before the start of the battler, or else the Phantom won't leave any Echo behind for you to absorb. The best part is that every participant of the battle gets to absorb the Phantom, so it is a win-win situation for everyone. Just make sure to send the invites before attacking anything.

Okay so you have captured your first Phantom Echo but you don't see any shiny beast in transformations. Don't worry, you did absorb the Phantom, its just not activated yet. So, how to equip Phantom Echoes in Wuthering Waves? 

First, open the Resonators Menu and browse to the Echoes Section. This screen shows a list of all your captured Echoes and their stats. Next, look for the species that you want to equip the Phantom skin. Here, you will see a "new" badge on top of the Monster Logo, select it to enter the skin selector. Finally, select the Phantom Echo Skin and tick "Effective for all" to use it. Now you will see the new shiny Phantom look whenever you transform to your favorite Echoes.
