Path of Exile 2 is an advanced free-to-play Action RPG by Grinding Gear Games, offering co-op play for up to six players. Set in Wraeclast, a dark, mysterious land filled with unique cultures, ancient secrets, and monstrous threats, a long-buried evil is resurfacing, bringing madness and spreading Corruption across the land.

The game introduces a fresh six-act campaign, featuring 100 unique environments, 600 monsters, and 100 challenging bosses.

Path of Exile 2 Twelve Character Classes

Path of Exile 2 offers twelve unique character classes, covering all combinations of Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence, with two variations for each. Each class emphasizes a distinct playstyle, serving as a foundation that lets you mix skills from various classes to craft your perfect character build.

Each of these twelve classes includes three specialized Ascendancy paths, providing a total of 36 Ascendancy Classes to choose from.

POE2 Classes and New Skills

Path of Exile 2 New Skill Gem System

Path of Exile 2 introduces 240 Skill Gems that provide powerful active abilities, along with 200 Support Gems to modify them, allowing you to craft a custom build that fits your playstyle.

This new system enhances Path of Exile’s well-known skill mechanics. Support Gems are now socketed directly into Skill Gems, simplifying the process and eliminating past frustrations while preserving depth. Every skill your character uses can now be six-linked.

Path of Exile 2 Dual Specialization in the Passive Skill Tree

The iconic Passive Skill Tree is back, with 1,500 skills for full customization. Now featuring Dual Specialization, you can allocate skill points across two different skill sets that activate depending on the weapon or skill type in use. For instance, you might invest in both dagger and trap skills, or ice and lightning abilities, with the relevant points applying as you switch between them—allowing you to excel in multiple areas without compromise.

Path of Exile 2 includes 700 types of base equipment, each with its own unique item to find. You can expand your arsenal with new weapons like spears, crossbows, and flails, along with additional items like focuses, traps, and redesigned scepters.

Every campaign area in Path of Exile 2 features a boss encounter, with over a hundred unique bosses to challenge as you progress through the Acts. Each boss brings its own mechanics for you to master.

Path of Exile 2 Discover a New Endgame

After completing Path of Exile 2’s six-act campaign, you’ll unlock its endgame. There are over 100 unique maps, each with its own boss and modifiers, offering fresh takes on many of Path of Exile’s previous leagues. More details on what awaits in the endgame will be revealed as the release approaches.

Path of Exile 2 Fair Play, No Pay-to-Win

Path of Exile 2 is a separate game from the original Path of Exile, and both games will continue to receive free expansions. They’re entirely free-to-play with no “pay-to-win” features. Any purchases made will be available in both games.
